  • No this course is based on giving you all the know how to hunt ethically after learning the foundations. Only the guides do the shooting on Wild Foods Expeditions. We’d have to charge significantly more to be insured for course participants to do the shooting. After you’ve completed Wild Foods Expeditions and got all necessary licenses you will have the opportunity to return to the property and pay for unguided hunting.

  • There will be one guide to 3 course participants and we have 4 huntable areas with a maximum of 12 course participants per expedition.

  • Every expedition participant will be going home with wild venison and a goat but as it goes with hunting it all depends on the success of the hunt. Each group of 3 hunters aims to get a goat and a deer over the course of the weekend to get hands on experience with both species and butchering the two different types of meat.

"
Hunting has changed my life in ways i couldn’t have anticipated. I got into hunting with Nick for the adventurous side and wanting to harvest the meat we eat as a family but it has given me so much more. I’ve met some of the greatest people and gone to places i never would have dreamed of before we got into hunting and we’re excited to be able to pass that gift along to others now.”

"
Creating Wild Foods with Kyle has come about through people seeing our adventures and wanting to know how do it for themselves. We’ve loved creating an environment that cultivates learning and passing along the knowledge we’ve been lucky enough to learn in order to keep these traditions of procuring, cooking and sharing these wild foods alive.”
